Olympus 12-45 f/4 Pro Sample Shots

I recently tested the Olympus 12-45 f/4 Pro lens. Yes, it’s one of those lenses that Olympus made before it sold off its camera division to JIP where it would then become OM SYSTEM. Nonetheless, this Olympus lens is still a pretty nice lens with some special features. It’s constant f/4 aperture and relatively good sharpness make it an excellent lens for landscapes and events.

It also is quite close-focusing. Although it’s not a true macro, it would be very hard to find a situation in which you would need to get closer than it can. Situations like getting close enough to frogs and flowers is no problem for this lens. Unfortunately, I got it in the winter so I still have not tested it in these situations. Nonetheless, this page will serve as a sample gallery to show off this lens.

1/13, f/5, 37mm, ISO 640
1/6, f/5, 14mm, ISO 640
1/60, f/6.3, 13mm, ISO 250
1/125, f/7.1, 18mm, ISO 200
